OKLAHOMA CITY — Washington defeats Oregon 6-2 at the Women's College World Series. The Ducks next play at 6:30 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Saturday morning's elimination bracket game between Georgia and Florida State.

First Inning: UO 0, UW 0

Oregon's Jenna Lilley walked to lead off the game and advanced to second on Alexis Mack's sac bunt. But DJ Sanders struck out and Gwen Svekis popped out to end the top of the inning. Megan Kleist induced a pair of Washington groundouts and struck out Julia DePonte to end the inning.

Second Inning: UO 0, UW 0

After a Shannon Rhodes groundout for UO, Haley Cruse walked and moved to second on Lauren Burke's groundout. But the UO threat ends on Lauren Lindvall's grounder to the pitcher. Washington gets on base for the first time in the game after a one-out walk to Noelle Hee, but the Ducks turn a double play on Emma Helm's grounder to second base for the third out.

Third Inning: UO 0, UW 0

UO's Mia Camuso grounds out before Lilley draws her second walk of the game and advances to second on Mack's groundout. But Sanders is the third out on a ground ball to third. After a groundout by UW's Taryn Atlee, Kleist collects her second (Trysten Melhart) and third (Kelly Burdick) strikeouts of the game to end the inning.

Fourth Inning: UO 0, UW 0

Sanders delivers the first hit of the game after beating out a one-out grounder to the shortstop, and moves to second on a groundout to shortstop. Burke also grounds out, to end the top half of the inning for the Ducks. Taylor Van Zee opens the UW half of the frame with a single up the middle, but the inning ends after a strikeout, fielder's choice and fly out.

Fifth Inning: UW 4, UO 0

UO's Lindvall singled to center to begin the inning for the Ducks' second hit of the game, but Camuso, Lilley and Mack each went down in order to end any threat. The Huskies used a single and a throwing error to put runners at the corners with no outs, and after a pop out, Kleist walked Melhart to load the bases. Burdick then followed with a fielder's choice to the shortstop, and Kaija Gibson scored when Svekis couldn't handle Sanders' wide throw at the plate. Van Zee followed with a two-run single to right field. Miranda Elish then replaced Kleist in the circle with runners on second and third, and Sis Bates followed with an RBI double for a 4-0 edge.

Sixth Inning: UW 6, UO 0

Rhodes drew a two-out walk for UO in the top half of the inning, moved to second on a bloop single by Cruse and both advanced to second and third on a passed ball. But Taran Alvelo, who replaced starter Gabbie Plain at the beginning of the inning, then shut the door by getting Burke to hit into a grounder to the shortstop. The Huskies scored twice in the bottom half, the first when Atlee blasted a one-out double to the left-center wall that knocked home Hee, and the second when Atlee later scored on a groundout by Melhart.

Seventh Inning: UW 6, UO 2

Oregon put two on board after singles by Lindvall and Lilley and, with runners at the corners, the Ducks scored a run when April Utecht reached on a fielding error. Oregon made it 6-2 when Svekis then singled to left field to kncok in a run. The game ended when Sanders was called for interference on the basepath between second and third on a fielder's choice by Rhodes.
