Craig Pintens, a senior associate athletic director for the past seven years at Oregon, has been hired as the athletic director at Loyola Marymount University, the school has announced.
“Craig Pintens will be a game changer for the LMU Lions,” school president Timothy Law Snyder said in a news release. “He is a leader, a champion, a builder, and a collaborator who will challenge our student-athletes to be fierce competitors with purpose and integrity. Together with our coaches, he will lionize our athletics programs and amplify LMU’s renown.”
Pintens was the UO athletic department's administrator in charge of marketing and public relations. Before Oregon, he worked in the athletic departments at LSU, Marquette and Texas-Pan American. He has won industry awards for season ticket campaigns, advertising, ticket sales, new media, video and corporate sponsorship.
Pintens will begin his new position June 25. He replaces athletic director William Husak, who is retiring after 20 years at LMU.
