LOS ANGELES — Jeremy Ydens was 3-for-4 with five RBIs and three runs as the No. 17 UCLA baseball team defeated Oregon 15-1 on Saturday at Jackie Robinson Stadium.

UCLA scored a run in the first inning and two in the second before adding three in the fourth against Oregon starter Matt Mercer, who gave up seven earned runs on six hits with five walks while striking out eight in 5 1/3 innings.

The Bruins (34-17, 17-9 Pac-12) knocked Mercer out during a three-run sixth inning and added six more in the seventh. Oregon relievers James Acuna and Nico Tellache each allowed two runs while Jesse Hobaica gave up four earned runs.

Jonny DeLuca's solo homer in the top of the seventh was the lone run for Oregon (25-26, 11-15). Spencer Steer had two of Oregon's five hits.
