CORVALLIS — Oregon State will have to wait for another weekend to move into first place in the Pac-12 baseball standings.

Will Matthiessen hit a bases-clearing double in the 10th inning to give second-ranked Stanford a 9-6 Pac-12 baseball victory over No. 4 Oregon State, rallying to cost the Beavers a sweep and a move to the top of the conference standings.

OSU led 6-1 after Adley Rutschman scored Zak Taylor on a bases-loaded walk in the fourth inning, but the Cardinal rallied from there. Nico Hoerner hit a two-run single in the sixth, and Stanford forced extra innings when Nick Oar hit a solo pinch-hit home run in the ninth inning.

Steven Kwan and Rutschman had three hits for Oregon State (38-8, 16-7 Pac-12), and Cadyn Grenier and Nick Madrigal each had two hits. Beau Branton went 5-for-6 for Stanford (39-8, 18-6), which had 16 hits off four OSU pitchers.
