ALBANY — League-leading Linn-Benton capitalized on a pair of big third innings to sweep Lane in a Northwest Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader Friday.
The Roadrunners scored four runs in the third inning of the first game for an 8-0 victory, and then exploded for five runs in the third inning of the second for a 6-1 win.
Cole Carder had a pair of hits, including a home run, and three RBIs for Linn-Benton (40-2, 27-1 NWAC South) in the opener. Teammate Joshua Congdon also belted a home run.
Tielar Murray had a pair of hits for the Titans (22-22, 16-12) in the first game.
