CORVALLIS — Julila DePonte homered twice and drove in three runs, and fifth-ranked Washington defeated Oregon State 6-1 in Pac-12 softball on Friday at the OSU Softball Complex.

DePonte went 3-for-3 for the Huskies (42-8, 13-8 Pac-12), who had nine hits off OSU starter Mariah Mazon.

Washington jumped on Mazon early, taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning after a two-run single by Noelle Hee. DePonte hit her first home run, a solo shot, in the second inning. She added a two-run homer in the sixth inning.

Alysha Everett drove in Shelby Weeks with a double in the third inning for Oregon State (26-24, 7-12). Everett and Weeks had two hits apiece to lead the Beavers.
